New Tactics Prove Effective

Guildford A.C. was coming off their bye week pitted against a Langley squad sitting at .500 in the league standings at 2-2. With a strong showing in exhibition play the previous week and solid week of training, A.C. looked prepared implement new tactics with success.

In the early going A.C. struggled to adjust to the new style however still was able to hold a reasonable amount of posession and did not surrender any dangerous scoring chances. Late in the first half, hard work by players and coaches was rewarded as Guildford began to execute with precision and the goals and chances came quick.

In the second half A.C. really began to pressure and was able to effectively pick apart the Langley defense. Guildford was getting players into all the right areas and as a unit showed purpose in their player and ball movement.

Guildford was able to put five goals in over the course of the game and surrendered only two goals late in the game as fatigue set in and two A.C. boys picked up injuries. Final score 5-2.

A.C. is registered into the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Thanksgiving Tournament next weekend and is looking forward to putting up a strong showing against toughest opposition they've seen in tournament play this season.
