Guildford A.C. came out strong on the first day of the Chilliwack Tournament. A.C. took on the Chilliwack Attack in their first game of the day. Guildford had two goals inside four minutes that set the tone for the entire game. A.C. would add six more for a 8-0 final score.
In Game number two Guilford played the North Van Lions Gate Capilanos 97's. The North Van team had won their opening tilt and was tied in points with A.C.; Guildford struck first with a cracker from 30 yards out that found the top corner. A.C. would add two more before half time, one on a great individual effort that was slotted short side and the second on a well delivered corner ball that was expertly nodded home for the tally. Guildford found the back of the net three times in the second half for a 6-0 final.
On Sunday Guildford takes on the last two teams in the group, Squamish and Sunshine Coast; a pair of wins will lock up the gold medal.
