A.C. Sweeps the Home and Home

Guildford A.C. played the second leg of a home and home exhibition series with CMF Euro and playing their more comfortatble 8v8, A.C. was looking to play much more organized than they had in the first leg.

Guildford certainly accomplished their goal, while finishing was lacking early on, it was only a matter of time before A.C. opened up the scoring. Guildford blew several chances just wide that were good strikes, but were targeted to the wrong side of the goalposts. The icebreaker finally came on a penalty shot that would get A.C. on the board and the floodgates opened from there; they would add three more goals before half-time for the 4-0 lead going into the break.

In the second half, Euro tightened up defensively and was able to cut back Guildford scoring chances but in the process limited their own scoring chances to nil. A.C. would add one more goal very late in the second half for the 5-0 win.

Guildford A.C.'s next opposition is a Surrey Youth squad next tuesday. A.C. is looking to continue it's solid string of exhibition performances before taking the Summer off.
